Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau
Chautauqua County is the westernmost county in the U.S. state of New York with more to offer than most might think. When I say, “I’m from New York”, people automatically think New York City, but don’t realize that we are tucked in a corner far from the city and noise. While growing up in the western NY region, I have always found the beauty in our area, especially in the outdoors. I was hired by the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau about 2 years ago to begin a journey of capturing the essence of the county. From rolling hills to the Lake Erie wine country trail, to the endless fishing streams and deep history and culture, this county is a hidden gem I was honored to help promote and uncover.
If there’s any way to capture the beauty of this county to attract visitors near and far, it’s through video. I filmed throughout the whole county for just over a year in all its seasons showcasing the limitless opportunities and adventures to be had. These videos also incorporate drone footage shot by PaNDaGOAT aerial photographer, Spencer Timkey. With the footage collected, we have been and are still creating a series of videos dedicated to the different aspects and attractions. The videos range from :30 to a 3-minute full piece on the entire county to keep audiences intrigued and engaged. Whether you’re into culture and history, outdoor adventure, wine trails, winter fun, lake experiences, or our beautiful Fall scenery, there’s a place for you here in Chautauqua County.
