Ellicottville Salt Cave & Halotherapy is one of only a few authentic salt therapy caves in New York State. Salt therapy is a modern, all-natural way to treat a variety of ailments, including respiratory, joint and muscle pain, cystic fibrosis, stress, anxiety and depression, among others. Over 20 tons of Himalayan salt were brought in, along with builders from Poland, to create the European style salt cave, located just a stone’s throw from downtown Ellicottville.

Tracy Draper, owner of the Ellicottville Salt Cave, was looking for a new website and an attractive hand-out that would capture the essence of her business and drive new customers to her spa. PaNDaGOAT creative designer Brenda Perks and web developer Mike Joslyn got to work on designing solutions.

Brenda created a tri-fold brochure, which provided plenty of space to promote all aspects of Tracy’s business. Tri-fold brochures are a great option for promotion, since they fit the standard kiosk and brochure rack which are widely used at travel centers, hotels and resort attractions for passersby to freely browse and pick up.

Along with showcasing salt therapy and a list of ailments/benefits, this brochure covers the salt cave’s full menu of services and packages, including massage, infrared sauna, foot scrubs, body glows and reiki. To compliment their services, a full retail area (also featured in the brochure) offers salt lamps and other products that allow customers to take the benefits of Himalayan salt with them when they leave. By including all of these aspects of the business in an attractively designed brochure, the viewer certainly can be impressed with the salt cave’s rating as a “destination spa.”

Mike redesigned the website and rewrote all copy for the Ellicottville Salt Cave with the goal of generating appointment leads and allowing online gift card purchases. The website’s new modern and responsive design makes it easy for customers to browse the available services and packages, as well as request bookings online. The website is backed by a content management system that makes updates and edits to website content quick and easy.

Since the launch of the website, the Salt Cave has seen an influx of online appointment requests and gift card purchases, allowing Tracy and her staff to spend less time on the phone and more time providing their clients with excellent service. Their newly optimized website has seen a jump in website traffic by focusing on high quality content and website performance.

Photographer, Jaimie, joined in on the salt cave project by adding a bit of her personal touch to the photos of the services and beauty of the space guests encounter whilst enjoying a day at this calming salt spa. After working with owner Tracy to get just the right shots, Jaimie put her editing skills to work to help ensure the look and feel of the spa was correctly portrayed.

These photos have been used on the Salt Cave’s website and trifold brochure. Photographs are a great marketing tool to reflect the aura colors and the peaceful atmospheres of one of the areas’s most unique Spa experiences.
